Change Or Disable Windows Startup Sound

Here is an easy tip on how you can control startup sound of Windows. It is possible to disable or change the Windows startup sound with your favourtie sound bit. Follow these steps to change Windows Startup Sound (I have tried this tip on Windows XP).

• Open Control Panel from Start > Control Panel.
• Go to Sounds, Speech and Audio devices > Sounds and Audio Devices.
• Now click the Sounds tab in popup window.
  

• Here, select Start Windows from Program Events.
• Now in the sounds section, you can select any sound file from your computer to play when Windows starts or you can select None to disable the sound when Windows getting started.

This is an easy method to play your favourite sound bit at the start of Windows or even disable the sound at the Windows startup. Remember you will need to save sound file in .WAV extension before you can select it to play at Windows startup.
